Although beardies get most of there water from their food it is still good to keep fresh water in his tank. you woudnt want your beardie getting dehydrated. it is important to bathe your bearded dragon atleast once a month so it could keep clean. In the wild the beardies get cleaned from rain. now you probably know that they go to the bathroom every day so you have to clean their tank on a week or just pick it up every other day or so. thats it for the bearded dragon. thanks and keep learning on our blog!

Tank and Setup
so the tank should be about 20 to 30 inches long for an adult. personaly i get my tank this size to start out with as hes still a baby so i dont have buy a bigger tank as he gets older. One of the most important things is you have to know the temperature inside the tank. so you have to get a thermometer for the tank. they dont cost alot of money, you could pick one at at your local petshop for no more than 5 bucks! you have to get a light for the tank. you can get this at any petshop. what matters is how many watts you use. your beardies tank should be from 75 to 85 degrees. so it depends on how tall your tank is. i use a 75 watt 24 hour bulb but my tank is pretty tall. for a tank thats about a foot high i recommend a 50 watt light. i am not a big fan of heated mats or rocks because they can get too hot and burn your beardie which could permanently damage your dragon. you also need either carpet or sand for the floor of your tank. as they get older they need the sand. Accessories such as plants logs and backgrounds are your choice. Although i definetley recommend a rock for hanging out on and somewhat little accessories such as plants or logs to make it feel at home. Thanks and read about other parts of care sheet!
Feeding
hey guys the first reptile were going to teach about is the bearded dragon.
the bearded dragon is mainly an insectavor as a baby and as it gets older it eats mostly veggies and occasionaly crickets and fruit. when they are babys they should eat about 80% crickets and 20% veggies, but as they get older they will eat 80% veggies and 20% crickets. Although lots of people have different opinions on how much to feed them, its really up to your bearded dragon. some baby beardies could eat 15 crickets a day and some could only eat 5 crickets a day. its pretty much how much they can eat in 15 minutes. As they get older you should feed them crickets every 3 or 4 days. The other days you should feed them veggies. the main veggie that they shouldnt eat is iceberg lettuce. its not that its bad for them but its mostly just water, therefore it doesnt give them the vitamins they need. it just fills up there stomach. Other than that most veggies are ok. The main thing is that about 3 or 4 times a week you have to sprinkle on some calcium powder that you can purchase at any petstore such as petsmart, petco and usually your local petshop.
Theres the feeding we will post the rest of the care sheet seperate. thanks
